I'm going to find my lucky charm

So, everyone knows that the North Carolina state fair is coming to Raleigh October the 14th to the 24th. I have never been to the fair and to be honest I didn't even know that it was coming to Raleigh, until I was invited to go by a guy I just met that is. I am so very excited to go. It's going to be my first time at the fair and my first date. His name is David and he's been to the fair almost every year and he's says it's a lot of fun. I can't wait to have fun and in my opinion it doesn't matter how old you are you are never to old for a fair. Even if you're 18 and it's your first time. I hear that the fair has a bunch of great rides and the best food ever! I hear they have fried candy bars! They sound to die for, literally. I am going to get on every ride and eat as much as I can. Then to top off the day a ride on the ferris wheel with David. I hope it turns out great, I can't wait!

If want to go to and need some info on the fair, here's a great link!: http://www.ncstatefair.org/index.htm

Mo Joe's in Town

I was looking through some of the restaurants listed on Google to see what looked interesting enough to visit here in Raleigh. More so the burger joints because I'm such a big meat eater and what a better way to satisfy a carnivores craving then a good ol' burger joint. I came across Mo Joe's and immediately thought: Mm, big juicy burgers. I checked out the reviews on the place and everyone seemed to be on the same page as me. All the reviews say that it has good service and that it's overall a great place. It's not really expensive and the hamburgers sound really great. It makes me really curious to try it out, just thinking about it makes my mouth water. They also have this really neat "make your own burger" option which I totally love. Who isn't up for having it how they want it...I think I almost quoted BK's slogan. As I was saying, I really want to check this place out before the semester is over. I might become a regular at Mo Joe's.

Driving Turtles

Copied from Isrealsson.org
Okay, I just watched this video on sleep deprivation. A subject that I had already learned about in high school. I had never seen that video before, it was sort of interesting. I'm one of those people who used to run on 5 hours of sleep and I mean from like the 6th grade up until 12th grade. I did pretty well for myself..it certainly did not affect me in school. Now, it's different. I can't function on 5 hours of sleep..my disorder doesn't allow me to. I make sure to get enough hours of sleep so that lack of sleep doesn't mess with my head. I especially could not drive sleepy..I would probably veer off the road. A scary thought, but true. The video is very true though, I have experienced it for myself. I can actually feel myself slow down though, my comprehension and common sense go out the window. Unlike the test subjects who had apparently no clue of their impairment. From personal experience I learned that sleep..is good..in moderation. Too much and too little of something isn't good for you. We are very complicated animals.

Squirrels and Killer Fruit

So, today I was almost killed by a squirrel and it's killer fruit. I was walking to my chemistry class at 11 in the morning and as I was passing Joyner; out of nowhere, I heard a loud thump. Almost like a huge rock dropping to the ground, it completely freaked me out. It dropped like 3 inches to right of me, it was so, so close to hitting me in the forehead. Then, I look up and I see this squirrel holding a part of the fruit in it's paws. That evil little squirrel, I know it knew what it was doing becuase then scampered off the tree, came within 10 inches of the sidewalk and made the most evil looking face ever. I started walking fast because I thought the squirrel was going to chase me but it didn't and I was safe, FOR NOW.
